A veteran of more than 20 years with CBC News, Michael Colton is currently CBC Radio's Washington correspondent. His award-winning work has taken him around the globe, with assignments from Jerusalem and New York to Riyadh and Tokyo. For much of the 1990s he reported on economic trends and crises in Canada and internationally. Since September 11, 2001, he has divided his time between the Middle East and the United States. Colton took up his post in Washington in January, 2004.
